We are investment professionals that love logistics and technology. BGSA founder Ben Gordon grew up in transportation and traces his supply chain roots back five generations. Entrepreneurship is in our blood, and we are passionate about the values and principles of helping founders succeed.
1903
Ben’s great-great grandfather founded Morgenstern Express, a horse-and-buggy transportation company based in New York.
1948
Ben’s grandfather, Eugene Ribakoff, started AMI, one of the leading truck leasing, dedicated contract carriage, and logistics providers in the Northeast. AMI followed an even earlier family transportation business.
1999
Ben founded 3PLex, a web-based transportation management system for the logistics sector, not just pursuing a vision but continuing a long-standing family tradition in transportation and logistics.
2002
Recognizing that supply chain entrepreneurs needed specialized strategic and financial guidance, Ben founded BGSA, a strategy-led investment bank dedicated to M&A advisory in the supply chain sector.
2010
Leveraging years of advisory experience, Ben launched Cambridge Capital to invest directly in supply chain companies—bringing the kind of founder-friendly capital and hands-on support he had once needed as an entrepreneur.
Today, nearly two decades after Ben Gordon founded BGSA, the investment banking firm stands alone as the leading M&A advisory services firm founded on the premise that we understand supply chain entrepreneurs, because we come from the same stock. These deep rooted values provide a foundation for us to connect with our entrepreneurial clients in the transportation and logistics space. We have a hard-earned reputation as experts in supply chain. Our experience and track record reflects these values. We believe that every entrepreneur faces different challenges, and we are confident in our ability to help great companies maximize their value with our unique focus on strategy-led M&A advisory services for the supply chain sector.
